Boeshield T9 - Corrosion Protection
Hopefully you follow my social media posts as I share updates and side projects that i pursue to find the best possible products to support my axes. Last fall I started a corrosion prevention experiment using some billets of 4140 steel being left out in the elements after coating them with various products. You can see how I set up the experiment here: Part 1 and here Part 2 with the final evaluation of effectiveness here: Conclusion
I've been really impressed with the T-9 and decided to reach out to the company about acting as a distributor. After going back and forth with them, I settled on the 4 oz drip bottles. They're small enough you can fit them in your axe bag and have a handy for a quick wipe down. The twist top lid closes up tight (although I'd still recommend keeping it in a zip lock back) and the bottles are stout enough they can handle some jostling around in a bag. After some testing, I found that 15 drops is sufficient for a light coating on an axe, which means a 4 oz bottle should be good for 100's of applications.
I can ship these out separately in an envelope or add them in as part of existing orders.
