Handles

When this idea first launched, the intent was to create the wax models using a 3D printer that would create eye shapes suitable for any kind of handle commercially available, as well as for our own, quick replacement friendly, design.

Without the 3D printer, I had to scale back my handle ambitions to a single eye design.  The eye of my axes is 1.25" x 0.75" with 1/4" radius corners for hatchets and 1.5" x 0.75" with 1/4" radius corners for Big Axes.  This simple design, does require a pin, but is also SUPER easy to replace as can be seen here.  The intent behind this design was to be so simple any carpenter anywhere in the world can make replacement handles for you.

Because every thrower has a different opinion on the ideal length of their handle, I've decided to deliver the handles in 18" lengths to allow you to trim the handle to your preferred length.

For anyone wanting a curvy handle:

There are TONS of people out there carving / creating custom handles for throwers, so I won't be providing any kind of fancy curved handles through this store. Please check out the the artisan upgrades page for a listing of makers that have a solid reputation for making handles for my axes.
