The Axe of Perun is an axe design based on the historic Slavic axes.  Perun is approximately equivalent to Thor in the Slavic pantheon, the primary distinction being Perun was the highest god in his pantheon.  This design is the battle axe style with the single knob along the bottom edge of the blade.  In my admittedly shallow research I couldn't find the reason or symbolism of the knob.  It does look cool however and has the potential of saving you some points when scoring your throw.

With this design, the center of gravity is just slightly forward of the handle, relatively close to the end of the axe.  This gives it a light and agile feeling in the swing, and a very steady trajectory in the throw.

By default, this axe comes with a single handle.  Additional handles can be purchased here

As an Infinity Axes special, this design incorporates a pinned handle design that allows for rapid replacement of handles.  The socket measures 1.25 inches x 0.75 inches with 1/4 inch radius corners.  You can choose to purchase additional handles with your axe head.  Regardless of choice we will also include a high strength roll-pin that will require the use of a punch to insert / remove.  The hole for the roll pins is 1/4inch in diameter, in our experience the roll pin, provides the best balance of strength and ease of replacement.

Please remember that when you place an order, you are getting in the production queue.  Expect 3-8 weeks for delivery.  Feel free to contact me directly for a better estimate on the timeline..

Lighter Axe for Elbow Tendinitis

I immediately started hitting bullseyes and killshots. It takes a little more strength, but it saves me from pain. I'm rasping a thinner profile by hand for better sticking. I will taper the bottom of the handle to avoid it striking the target. It requires a firm grip due to the lighter weight.

Love this Axe

Tried the Axe of Perun at our local throwing spot. Was originally going to order the Ono, but saw this one hanging on the wall and gave it a throw. I prefer the lighter weight and the handle is extremely easy to index in my hand. Buffed it out a little, to bring up more of a shine, makes the forge marks look great. Very pleased.

Light, Easy, and Fun

I work at an Axe Throwing venue and decided to invest in a good personal throwing axe for myself to have some fun at work between my groups and to break in our boards(we have to use pine, it sucks, wish we could use cotton wood). So I got the Axe of Perun and I've loved it since the first throw. I've easily thrown it over a hundred times and the only sign of wear is from a nick in the blade where it hit one of the screws that hold the boards, and that's to be expected if that happens. Even with that I haven't even had to sharpen it yet, still sticks in the boards just fine. It's held its edge wonderfully! If you're looking to get a nice light throwing axe that you can throw a lot I whole heartily recommend this one.
